‘Shinmai Maou no Testament’ season 1 released on Januand came to an end on March 26, 2015. Shinmai Maou no Testament Season 3 Release Date: When will it premiere? This means that with a new season, there is a possibility that we might get an anime that lives up to its true potential. So now the big question: would you go for a new season of the show? I definitely would because even though the second season wasn’t all that great, it did turn out to be much better than the first one. For others who seek more values from an anime and like to watch shows that offer something fresh to the table, this one will be nothing but disappointing. Anyone who is mildly interested in typical harem shows with shounen battles will be able to get through this show.

More, not because it was really interesting but because it did not reach its full potential. After bingeing on the 12-episode mini-series, instead of going all “wow” about it, I was left with an unsatisfied feeling that asked for more of it. A little more development of the other characters, that come off as one-dimensional, would have made the show so much better and so much more enjoyable.Įven the various plot twists in the anime that scream “here’s something that might keep you interested” is only good enough to drag you to a new episode. Most plot points are very predictable and have no uniqueness to them and even the shounen styled battles are very typical. The main characters aren’t too bad but the supporting ones fall flat completely. So I wouldn’t really say that it is a terrible anime but I wouldn’t call it great either. Clearly, an attempt has been made to make the fight scenes more interesting but that fails to cover up for the other evident flaws. But then, I wouldn’t really blame the producers of the show for including so much Hentai to it, since it is more or less of an “indirect” element of the story itself. There is a very fine line between ecchi and Hentai but ‘Shinmai Maou no Testament’ seems to have crossed that line. Even when it comes to ecchi, there is a certain extent to which fan-service is tolerable.

The story of the anime is very generic and fan-service being quite obligatory in this genre, it becomes downright annoying.
